CCCA PTF Lower School Paper Recycling Contest

Congratulations to the Lower School for their participation in the paper recycling contest this year.  In just one week the students and facility made a major impact to protecting the environment and are now rethinking how CCCA can use less paper during the school year.

Daily measurements confirmed that the students collected more than one ton of paper that would have been thrown into the regular trash and sent to the landfill.

By recycling one ton of paper, CCCA helped save:

  • Approximately 13 trees
  • 2.5 barrels of oil
  • 4100 Kilowatt hours of Electricity = $4,100
  • 4 cubic meters of landfill, 141 cubic feet
  • 31,780 liters of water, or 8,395 gallons
