National Honor Society
Membership in the CCCA Chapter of the National Honor Society (for students in grades 10-12) is a recognition of excellence in academics, character, leadership and service. Candidates are selected in the spring, based on the following criteria:
- Prospective member must have a GPA of 3.5 or higher.
- Teacher evaluations must indicate that the student is above average in character, leadership, and service.
- Student must present a recommendation from a non-family adult.
- Student must not have been suspended nor have received more than 2 detentions in a school year.
Once a student meets the requirements, he/she is inducted as a member of the respective honor society. Once inducted, members attend monthly meetings and participate in individual and school-wide service projects.
